1. Who runs FinPlann
FinPlann (finplann.com) is financial planning software for individuals in India and abroad, and for financial advisers. It is run by its founder, Pavan Polineni, based in Singapore. Contact: hello@finplann.com.
2. Not investment advice
FinPlann does not provide investment, financial, tax or legal advice. It is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, a portfolio management service or an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor.
Our calculators and planner produce projections from the numbers and assumptions you enter. The AI features work through your numbers but don't tell you which investments to buy, sell or switch. Nothing on FinPlann is a recommendation to buy or sell any security, mutual fund or other financial product. See our investment guidelines.
3. Results are estimates
Calculator and planner results come from standard formulas and usually assume steady rates over time, which real life rarely delivers. Actual outcomes can differ because of:
- Market swings: equity funds and shares carry market risk.
- Interest rate changes on deposits, debt funds and loans.
- Inflation, which reduces what a future sum will buy.
- Changes in tax law, such as capital gains rules and deductions.
- Fund management decisions, expense ratios and exit loads.
Past performance does not guarantee future returns.
4. Market risk

| Shares and equity funds | Returns aren't guaranteed and prices can fall sharply. Best suited to long horizons of 5 years or more and a high tolerance for risk. |
| Mutual funds | Subject to market risk; the NAV can go up or down. Debt funds also carry credit and interest-rate risk. |
| NPS and pensions | Market-linked; your corpus at retirement depends on market returns while you save. |
| Deposits and FDs | Interest rates change over time; lock-ins and early-withdrawal penalties may apply. |
5. No guarantees
We work to keep FinPlann accurate and available, but we can't guarantee that any result is accurate, complete or suitable for you, that the service will always be available, or any future return on any investment. FinPlann is provided "as is", and we aren't liable for financial decisions made using it. Our Terms of Use set out the full terms.
6. Other websites and services
FinPlann relies on service providers such as Google sign-in, Stripe and Anthropic, listed in our Privacy Policy; each works under its own terms. Links to other websites are for convenience; we don't endorse them and aren't responsible for their content.
