Founder, FinPlann

I built FinPlann after spending years frustrated with Indian personal finance tools that were either too simple (one-off calculators) or too complex (advisor software designed for professionals, not individuals).

The core problem I kept running into: your SIP calculator doesn't know about your EMIs. Your retirement planner doesn't know about your current investments. You're left doing the same maths in five different places, with no single view of whether you're actually on track.

FinPlann was built to fix that. One workspace where your cash flows, investments, goals, loans, and SIPs stay connected — so when you change one number, everything updates together.

The platform is free to use, built with a deep focus on India-specific financial products (NPS, PPF, STCG/LTCG rules, Section 80C, F&O taxation), and designed to be jargon-free so that someone planning their first SIP and someone calculating their FIRE number can both use it comfortably.

Our Mission

Give every Indian investor a complete, connected financial picture — for free.

We believe financial planning shouldn't require an advisor appointment or an expensive subscription. The maths of SIP investing, EMI planning, FIRE calculations, and goal-based saving is well-understood — it just needs to be packaged clearly, connected together, and made freely accessible.

Everything on FinPlann — all 30 calculators, the connected workspace, the financial health score, and the blog — is free to use with no account required for calculators. The paid Pro plan funds development and keeps the free tier genuinely free.

How We Work

All calculations on FinPlann are based on publicly documented financial formulae — the same compound interest, EMI, and SWP maths used by AMFI, SEBI-registered advisors, and major financial institutions.

Calculators

Standard compound interest, SIP future value, EMI (reducing balance), NPS annuity, and inflation-adjusted corpus formulae — fully documented in our Score Methodology.

Blog Content

All articles are reviewed against current SEBI regulations, Income Tax Act provisions, and AMFI guidelines. We link to primary government sources. See our Investment Guidelines.

Health Score

The Financial Health Score is a composite 0–100 metric across 5 pillars: savings rate, SIP coverage, emergency fund, goal readiness, and insurance coverage.

Not Financial Advice

FinPlann is an educational and planning tool. Nothing on this platform constitutes personalised investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any financial product.
